Where is the oil pump located 1994 mazda b4000 4.0 litre

The oil pump is in the oil pan.
On 4.0 engines with vin code E you may have to remove the engine to be able to remove the oil pan.

How to change the oil pump out in ford taurus

It matters if the 8th digit of vin numbers is a U or an S.
For a U: Remove oil pan, remove oil pump retaining bolts, oil pump and shaft.
For a S: You will have to remove the oil pan, front cover, the timing chain, and the crank shaft sprocket to get to the oil pump

I have a 96 Chevy Cav. Looks like I have a fairly significant oil leak on the front side of the engine (belt side). It's losing approximately 1/2 quart of oil every 250-300 miles or so. It looks like it's...

Sounds like the front seal is out. You may have to take the engine out of the car to fix it. It requires removing the harmonic balancer to get to the seal.

Need to change oil pan

Nope. just lots of work but work it.
Removal on 2.2 liter
  • Raise the car
  • Remove the right front wheel and engine splash shield
  • Drain the engine oil, remove the starter and engine mount strut bracket.
  • Remove the oil pan nuts and bolts
  • Remove the oil pan and clean all the the old RTV seal on the oil pan and engine components.
Installation on 2.2 liter
  • Place a 2-mm diameter bead of GM P/N 12346286 loctite 5900 or equivalent to the oil pan sealing surface, except the rear main sealing surface.
  • Using the new oil pan rear seal, apply a thin coat of GM P/N 12346285 loctite 5900 on the ends down to the ears.
  • Install the oil pan, bolts and nuts and install everything else in revers to the removal.
  • Refill the engine with oil and wait for the sealer to cure to ensure no leaks.
Removal on the 2.4 liter
  • Raise the car
  • Drain the engine oil and coolant
  • Remove the flywheel inspection shield, right front wheel assembly, and engine splash shield
  • Remove the drive belt and A/C compressor lower bolts
  • Remove the transmission to the engine brace, engine mount strut brace, and radiator outlet pipe.
  • Remove the oil pan to transmission nut and bolts
  • Remove the oil pan to transmission stud for clearance
  • Remove the oil pan bolts and oil pan
  • Clean all surface area
Installation on 2.4 is same as on the 2.2 with the new seal and just follow the removal on2.4 in revers.

Good luck and hope you got the 2.2 liter. keep me posted, be glad to help you get your car running 100% again.

Oil pan gasket

Well, the F2 means it is a 1992 model. If you have a 2.3L Mustang engine. The vin should be M. it is a 2.3L dual plug igintion(means it has 2 coills,No distributor). If you have a 87 to 89. You have a VIN A engine which is a lil different.

If you have a vin A. According to partsamerica.com(advanceautoparts.com) 1986-1990 oil pan gasket fits. If you have a 92. according to what I just looked up. It says that it will fit. If look up replacement parts. got to gaskets and look for see what vehicles it fits. Sometimes It will tell you all the vehicle that particular gasket will fit..
