factory fitted alarm keeps going off intermittently even with the interior sensors switched off

- same problem here. on bimmerfest.com there are lots of other people who are having the same problem too.suggestions as to cause so far:
1) hood (bonnet) sensor malfunction: unplug this to see if problem is remedied
2) apparently the factory fit siren has a back-up battery. if this runs low, people say it coulld cause the alarm to go off ?!- Guest
