-   i have a 2004 freestar with113,000 klms, the air wont blow cold when at ideling ,but gets sort of cold when driving on highway ,whats up,-   Guest May 13, 2009
-   Basically the same problem. I thought it was the compressor, but yesterday the front vents suddenly started to blow cold air. I wonder now if a vacuum problem is keeping the mixer valves from resetting to route the airflow.-   Guest Apr 20, 2009
-   I just purchase this 2005 Ford Freestar SE from a Auto Dealer in SC, which has done about 106500 miles. The vechile condition looks good, I got the Multipoint check done at an Ford Company Dealer and no complaints reported. Still the A/c & Defrost Blower has the similar issue. My office is about 3 miles aways from home, if I put the Defrost when I start from home, even after 3 miles, it will have no effect. The same happens with the A/c even setting to Max A/c, no cooling effect. -

have the AC system vacuumed down and recharged completely,
if your problem returns have your compressor checked for faulty seals.

Can anyone tell me how to find out if the Aveo 1.6 Automatic engine and gearbox are made in Korea or Germany or indeed any info. I want to buy a 2008 Aveo but am hesitating because of the Korean engine. How would I tell the manufaturer on the engine itself ?
the car won't start, it keeps turning over like it's out of gas.

What do I need and how do i connect sirius radio to a 2008 mazda 6 that states that it is satellite compatible. The radio has a satellite button, but does nothing when pushed. I have gotten several answers including I have to get an external receiver, I have to get a chip for the radio, I just need to contact sirius (this one is wrong). I contacted Sirius and she walked me through trying to get a number to activate the radio, but it did not work, so I know it needs something else. Thank you! Novella

Just recently my car stopped blowing cold air while idling but works great when running, usually at higher speeds...ie freeway!

I have an '05 Freestar. Not only the AC stops blowing cold when I idle at lights, but of course the defrost. This has put me in a dangerous situation a couple of times. I live near the intersection of 2 highways, and the wait at the light is about 2 minutes. When it is raining and I have the defrost on, the windows completely fog over. I have to stay stopped once the light turns green to wipe my windows with a paper towel. The first time a car almost rear-ended because he did not notice me stopped at the green light. The second time I drove with my head out the window in the pouring rain. I wear glasses which do not have wipers on them. Needless to say, my vision was impaired. My mechanic says there is nothing wrong. HELP!

We have less than 48,000 miles on our 2004 Freestar and it is doing the same thing (cool when driving but warm when stopped). Dealer says the warranty is only good for 36,000 but a mechanic tells us that we shouldn't be having this problem with these miles. How many others have this problem and is there a

2004 ford freestar limited w/ rear a/c slowly sarted to lose it's cooling and now doesn't cool @ all, low side psi reads 90 when a/c is on. Is this a compressor problem or drier. What should I replace, compressor, drier or both.
