This is not something i recommend to anyone. replacing with a original freeze plug is the correct way to do it. but if you have to use a quick replace then the rubber one will seal the best and the nylon will last longer. before you install use some m3 yellow adhesive around the edge before you install to make a water tight seal. hope this helps

How many freeze plugs are there in a 1990 ford 4.9 liter

on the block alone 8 or 9 ,plus the heads as they are cast iron not ally ,main one to leak that you can never find is the one behind the bellhousing ,No amount of additive will seal them thats for sure ,main cause of core plugs rusting through is lack of antifreeze ,where in warmer climates the fallacy is ,-- well it doesnt freeze in this place what do i need antifreeze for ,well its also an anticorrosion inhibitor

I have a problem with my 1990 ford mustang the tensioner pully locked up and broke the belt so i got a new one and now my car is idling at 2 1/2 and will not go down i have no clue what it could be vacuum,...

Odds are that the broken belt took out a vaccume line while it was flailing around, that would be the first thing that i would check for.Any hard plastic or rubber lines that are within stiking distance of the broken belt would be suspect.

Where do I install a block heater on a 350 V6

In one of the freezeout plug holes on the right side of your engine (passenger side) to keep the cord away from your steering shaft.Punch out the brass freezeout plug and remove the whole thing and install the heater if it is that style.
