Question about 1991 Honda Prelude
Ok this is really weird and was very scary when it first happened. fyi my 1991 honda prelude si is a stick shift. when i go to back out i have to give it a little rev before i can let off the clutch(everyone knows that) but when i put it into neutral again it starts this revving problem. it will start at 1000 rpm and jump to 2500rpms. it will rev up and down until i have to turn it off. this doesn't happen all the time. i need serious help cause i love my lude and this is the first technical problem i had with her. please help me asap. BILLY
This possible solution is also weird. I have a '91 Prelude Si also- GREAT car. Do you have anti-lock brake option? If you do, check the fluid level in the anti-lock reservoir. My Prelude did this revving thing twice, and while checking under the hood to see what the heck was going on, I discovered the brake fluid level was very low. I topped it off, and after giving up trying to figure what was wrong, I restarted the car, and no revving problem. I don't know why this is, but it worked for me twice. Countrycurt0
