I have a 2005 kia rio trying to replace the crankshaft seal and am having trouble finding a crankshaft gear puller any thoughts

Once the crankshaft pullley bolt is taken out, It should just pull off. DO NOT use a puller as it may cause the pulley to seperate. Best thing to do is to spray the center with a penetrating oil like PB Blaster and then using a rubber mallet, gently tap one edge of the pulley while pulling on the other side. You may have to rotate the pulley about 90 degrees and do it again.

P0335 code,05 kia rio, changed crank sensor, did not help?

Did you do a crank relearn ? Could be a wiring issue , control module problem etc... Testing electrical circuit first , video's on youtube , all you would need is a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter . P0335 Kia Crankshaft Position Sensor Circuit c Replacing Crankshaft Position Sensor Code P0335

On 2001-2005 vehicles the crankshaft sensor is mounted on the front of the transmission case adjacent to the flywheel.

I want to change the mechanical oil seal for crank shaft

you need a gear puller to pull the gear off. but to change the seal for the crankshaft, you only remove the timing gear and change the seal on the cover that you removed. there is nor need to pull the gear itself. if you pull the gear, you still can't change any other bearings or seals without removing the heads and manifold.
