Not sure the year of your car, the newer models have a "percentage of oil life remaining" indicator that can be accessed via the push button on the instrument panel, same one to toggle to the trip meters a & b, outside temp, if equipped. once the countdown reaches zero percent left you will get a warning light. you need to replace the oil and filter, the better 5w-20 and filter the better; afterwards there is a sequence to reset the count down of percentage remaining.

not sure if that is the "light" you're talking about. as the fellow mentioned above, DO NOT DRIVE the CAR until you have verified the existance of oil and oil pressure.

Good Luck with this, you'll find the cars are engineered very well, i doubt you're fighting an uphill battle!!

What does the wrench warning light on my dashboard of my 2007 civic mean?

it usually means you are due for an oil change unless the last place that changed oil did not reset the light. Some Odometer displays will show you the oil life when you switch through the displays.

A wrench appears and 34a I don't know what that means and I don't have the manual, it happen two days ago. I put engine oil because it showed 15% oil.

That wrench is a maintenance minder indicator lettting you know that your oil's service life is at 15%, not that the level or amount is low. Have your oil changed and have the maintenance minder light reset.

2006 Honda Accord was serviced but oil life light is flashing at -17

It means they didn't reset the oil change light. It means it's 17 miles past due and counting.
To reset, hold down the reset button for about ten seconds until everything in the display starts flashing.
Then while it's still flashing, hold down the reset button again for ten more seconds until the oil life says 100%.

Then, your all done. :)

Spanner light on

My first guess would be that maybe your fuel filter needs replacing and that is causing the spanner light... as for the Oil Life the moment you get a oil change it says 100 % but with use it keeps going down... 15% means its time for an Oil Change... Bad Oil Life is very bad for the engine... As for the engine light there could be many reasons to that like obsruction in fuel canister a fault in Powertrain Control Module... get to a dealership n get an assesment n then post here ;-)

Wrench light is on and odometer shows negative mileage

The negative number means the car should have had it's oil changed that many miles ago. Oil life starts at 100% for new oil & counts down every 10%. At 15% the display will always show, which means it's near time to change the oil.

usersteve83, your oil may have been changed but the timer not reset. Reset the timer as shown...
1. Turn ignition to the "ON" position. (do not start engine)
2. Press SEL/RESET repeatedly until the oil life indicator is displayed.
3. Press & hold the SEL/RESET for about 10 seconds until it blinks then let go of the button.
4. Press the SEL/RESET again for about 5 seconds or until the oil life indicator resets to 100%.

Wrench = Maintenance Minder: Symbol letter & number...
Symbol A - Relace engine oil.
Symbol B - Replace engine oil & filter, Inspect front & rear brakes, Check parking brake adjustment, Visually inpest the tie rods, suspension components, driveshaft boots, brake hoses & line (including ABS), all fluid levels & their conditions, exhaust system, fuel lines & connections.
Symbol 1 - Rotate tires.
Symbol 2 - Replace air cleaner element (dusty conditions every 15K miles) & replace dust & pollen filter (behind glovebox) every 15K miles if mainly dusty or city driving.
Symbol 3 - Replace transmission fluid.
Symbol 4 - Replace spark plugs.
Symbol 5 - Replace engine coolant.

All above are taken from the 2006 Civic EX owner's manual.

If you have the Driver information Center then you just select engine life cycle and hold down set button, otherwise You turn the igniton on, pump the pedal 3 times within 5 seconds, the change oil light should start flashing indicating it has been reset.
