Question about Chevrolet 1500
Could be as simple as a vacuum line leading to the transmission vacuum modulator is off or the modulator itself is bad, check to see if you have the hoses all connected first, because if there is no vacuum the transmission thinks you are under a heavy load and your foot is to the floor, this means the engine is creating little or no vacuum. So the tranny will stay in a low gear
