The battery light came on checked battery it was dead so I replaced it with a new one the battery light will not go off????

-sound like you're already replace the battery. did you...?
-If so it's okay. Looks like the problem is the alternator no charging.
-Here is the basic way to test by yourself.
-Turn on the car, let it run to normal idle then Use ohm meter to check power at battery terminal. If you get 12.5 or below. the problem is the alternator. Or take it to auto zone to check for you.

Good Luck

Turn of the airbag light

Hey, my mate had a problem like that, with the airbag light beeing on, just in a Mini, he went to a garage and they told him the sensor in the passenger seat was broken, and the entire seat needed to be changed, costing around 2.250$. He searched a little around and found an airbag emulator, that gets your system to think someone is always seated. In case of an accident the airbag will ALWAYS go off, on both driver and passenger seat. He found it on amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aag/main/ref=olp_merch_name_1?ie=UTF8&asin=B00E3C1IPW&isAmazonFulfilled=0&seller=A3VPDTQ49IXC7U - it is a quick fix, but a solid one.

Had several problems as this and needed a new computer because the chip controlling sensors that signal the fault lights to come on went bad. Depending on the year of the car some control chips are replaceable, others are integrated into the printed circuit board and are not replaceable.. Hope this helps

Instrument cluster going dead after airbag light comes on

I had the exact same issue with my 1999 cherokee. None of the gauges worked, the red airbag light was on, the horn didn't work etc.... After going to several different mechanics, it was determined that i had a bad ECM computer. I got online, went to autocomputer exchange.com, got a remanufactured computer, put it in... and all the gauges now work. I highly recommend doing this, because the dealership will screw you for almost $1000 for a new computer... whereas, I paid only $225 for the one from autocomputer exchange. Anyhow, everything works great now.

My battery went flat the other week! now the airbag light wont go out!! annoying!!! please help!!

suspect the air bag light came on due to it sensing a low battery voltage which woud cause the air bag to not deploy. Check to see if your battery is carging first. It should read 12 volts with engine off. it should read 14 -15 volts with engine running.
Next check for a dead cell in battery. Need to have any auto store test it for free.
If all good, check for battery drain from something still on after key is off.

Cannot read codes

Try disconnecting the battery again then hook it back up and see if it resets. We will go from there.
