The battery light came on checked battery it was dead so I replaced it with a new one the battery light will not go off????

-sound like you're already replace the battery. did you...?
-If so it's okay. Looks like the problem is the alternator no charging.
-Here is the basic way to test by yourself.
-Turn on the car, let it run to normal idle then Use ohm meter to check power at battery terminal. If you get 12.5 or below. the problem is the alternator. Or take it to auto zone to check for you.

Good Luck

Turn of the airbag light

Hey, my mate had a problem like that, with the airbag light beeing on, just in a Mini, he went to a garage and they told him the sensor in the passenger seat was broken, and the entire seat needed to be changed, costing around 2.250$. He searched a little around and found an airbag emulator, that gets your system to think someone is always seated. In case of an accident the airbag will ALWAYS go off, on both driver and passenger seat. He found it on amazon: - it is a quick fix, but a solid one.

Battery light, A/T oil temp light, abs light came on, airbag light was flashing and RPM was jumping from 1100 to 0 and car was not acting like anything was wrong, got home shut it off went to start it and...

Had several problems as this and needed a new computer because the chip controlling sensors that signal the fault lights to come on went bad. Depending on the year of the car some control chips are replaceable, others are integrated into the printed circuit board and are not replaceable.. Hope this helps

Instrument cluster going dead after airbag light comes on

I had the exact same issue with my 1999 cherokee. None of the gauges worked, the red airbag light was on, the horn didn't work etc.... After going to several different mechanics, it was determined that i had a bad ECM computer. I got online, went to autocomputer, got a remanufactured computer, put it in... and all the gauges now work. I highly recommend doing this, because the dealership will screw you for almost $1000 for a new computer... whereas, I paid only $225 for the one from autocomputer exchange. Anyhow, everything works great now.
