Most likely tripped the fuel pump cut off switch, this problem can be fixed literally with the push of a button. Locate the switch, generally located behind the kick panel or near transmission hump in passenger floorboard or possibly behind the glove compartment. Locate it and press the button. If it pushes in then that was your problem.

The vehicle will suddenly jerk to the left at acceleration, and when you lift your foot from the accelerator it tugs to the right. Probable cause?

could be a differential problem, or half shaft broken where power is only going ot one wheel. when the car accelerates the wheel with power can cause the vehicle to jerk. could also be a wheel problem. ensure the tyres are inflated correctly. is the steering wheel straight or turned to one side when driving in a straight line. if turned there may be damage to the steering system. did the symptom start after another person has driven the vehicle? or after an accident or driving into a curb or off road? all these may be factors to the problem. if not the case try rotating the wheels front left to rear right and front right to rear left to see if the problem disapears. if persists seek professional to test drive the vehicle and give an appraisal to the cause.

I hope this was helpful.

After accident chysler 300 any way to determine how fast car was traveling

the 300 could have been doing 55 -a t-bone to the rear axle will rip it apart and a p/u rears try to slid sideways on dry pavement don tak much to make it slide or spin sideways-and a 300 nose is all plastic and their computers are in engine bay cost more to repair so total is insurance choice of action-to determine if the speed is a factor u will need a lawer who deal with accidents one is that they usually have a person or a retired police office who are trained in accident reconstuction and they can request data from black box in other vehicle-but if ur the causing factor [improper turn -improper lane chnge-failed to yield right of way etc...]most lawyers wont take case

My horn has stopped working. i hear clicking when I try to honk the horn. what might be the issue?

Sounds like you have a bad 'horn relay. The relay can be heard in most cases.
however, if the contact is worn in the relay, 12volt power cannot be delivered to the horns.

other factors are: Was the vehicle in an accident in the front area?

Checked fuses now car will not start looking for 1999 ford explorer fuse schamatic

Contact auto zone stores to acquire a fuse for the vehicle. they may require the vehicle type and th exact fuse that has been blown. identifying the fuse could make acquiring approapiate

You are suggesting electrical fault by mentioning fuses. A fuse gets blown only when some power supply is interfered with either by internal miscommunictions in power outlets. The blowing of a fuse could have been caused by exposed wires of the vehicle touching each other, that are directly linked to the battery and alternator systems. Examing the wires should discover any unual exposures. Openning the fuse box can easily observe blown or burnt out fuses in the circuitary, else woudl require tester to dicerpher the exact blown fuse.

A vehicle that does not start has several factors to consider.
1. Electrical factors
a. batteries would have been depleted
b. ignition woulg be worn out with several attempts with older vehicles

2. Gasoline factors
a. the vehicle almost low on gas
b. the spark plugs are clogged
c. the engine oils and fluid have leaked out causing low levels insufficient to ignite

3. The human factors
a. Older vehicles requires more trys before the combustion ingnites
b. Older vehicles require warming up frequently easpecially during winter because has lost the retention capabilities against external factors, like weather, dust, rusty engines, warn out parts that contribute towards immediate ignitin

1995 dodge dakota 4x4 turns over but will not start, all relay switches are good, new rotor and distributer has been replace but the wire that goes to the fuel pump has no power, but fuel pump has been...

Most vehicles are equipped with what is called a fuel power inertia switch. It is a basic component that shuts down the fuel system during an accident to prevent fuel from being an factor during sensitive times. You may have to find and flip or replace this switch. I do not know the location of it on this particular model off hand, but if you consult your service manual you should be able to locate it quickly.

NOTE: on most vehicle it is located under the dash near the glove box. On some near the fuse box. On cars it is commonly in the trunk.

Thanks for using FixYa, if this solution does not work please feel free to come back and try again.

Vehicle was involved in a front end impact - Now vehicle won't start - Right after the accident tryed to start the vehicle and it wouldn't crank.

Very simple, Ford's use inertia switches. They shut the fuel off when you are in an accident. Just call ford and ask for the location of the inertia switch on your vehicle. You just push it in to reset it.

Good luck
