A cheap code reader/reset tool can be purchased, and most parts stores also have code readers, they will reset the codes for free.

I have a 2004 pt cruiser. Each week it dies. Something to do with the oxygen sensor. Mechanic said I needed to have the computer reflashed? Any thoughts? Could this be the problem?

if you have replaced the sensor you will need to have the comp cleared some times the comp will hold the error code even though the part is new it will still read as faulty .a simple clearing of the codes should fix the problem.

How do i locate a crank sensor and the code comes up as po320. thank you

Yes the po320 code is no signal at the crank. It is located on the transmission bellhousing. Its on the lefthand side of the housing in the top quarter. At the back of the motor. After the problem has been fixed,do not disconnect the battery to clear the code.Get the codes cleared before starting the motor or the comp may set a trouble code for that.A scan tool is needed from a dealer or good shop.I hope this helps

or goto auto zone and ask one of them to use there obd2 and clear the trouble codes for you for free.
you can try disconnecting the positve or negitive terminal on the battery and then going in the car and starting the car to drane all power from the system yes act like your going to start the car and hold the key on for about 2 or 3 seconds.then go get a glass of tea and then put battery back on and restart car.drink tea.

The error is actually P1400 Manufacture Controlled Auxillary Emissions Controls. I'm having that issue with my 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse right now. Not to mention the bad paint job.
