Question about 2002 Honda Accord

Steering mounted CD/Radio controls acting up

This problem is so weird that I don't know how to describe. Basically when playing a CD or an FM/AM radio station and use volume Up or Down control on the steering, it starts filliping FM stations/ CD tracks. Similarly, when pressing AUDIO/CH control on steering, sometimes it increases or decreases volume? It happens sporadically. I have had this problem when the car had less than 14K miles and it was less than two years old. I put up with for some time and in fourth 3rd year of owning the car, I took it too Honda dealer where a technician checked the problem I stated to him but all steering auto controls worked as normal (as expected it is Murphy’s Law). So he said that bring it back if I experience it again but I did not take it back. Just living with this problem to this day.

Radio developed fault. Sudden max audio output which cannot be reduced by volume control.Just before fault, a click was heard in the back of the car.

If you have steering wheel mounted controls then play with the volume switch and see if that drops the volume, if not unplug the steering wheel control harness for the radio an if that makes no difference then the radio is defective.

Turn the radio off first and then disconnect the battery for 2 min then reconnect the battery. This should reset your radio and then you can eject your CD, and reset your stations and clock. Good luck

your radio is shot, and the cd and tape player still works. You have to buy a new radio if you want to listen to a radio.

Radio operates but no audio from speakers.

No its probably the internal amplifier for this radio that bad or the radio itself. I would recommend replacing with and aftermarket or a used original one its alot cheaper than getting it brand new, its kind of expensive for that car. Good luck and thanks for using FIX YA

How do I connect an mp3 to my 2008 sonata?

The 2008 Sonata does not come equipped to plug in a separate MP3 player. The MP3 on the face of the radio/CD player refers to the fact that the CD player will play MP3 files. If you want to play from a separate player, you will have to add an FM modulator or something similar.
