Dash Gage Illumination

The gages on the dash no longer illuminate and my gas hand does not go past the half way mark when full. Is it something that can be fixed myself, or is it a Lexus dealership issue?

I've also already checked the fuses in the car and they were fine.

Same problem.......You need a flashlight dring the day to see speedometer, tach and temp. Gas gage doesn't show anym movement when lights are off.

This probem 1st started 6 months ago and dash would not illuminate for and hour...then 2 hrs then 3 hrs...etc. but once it came on for the would come on immediately every other time you started it on that day.

two days ago the dash lights would come on but would go off when headlights would come on. Turn off head lights and dash ights were back!

    Now..i can't get anything

My fuel gauge is not working, have a 70 Dodge Challenger, have replaced sending unit in tank, dash unit, voltage limiter and checked continuity between wires to gauge and sending unit, and made sure dash...

Only thing I can tell, with all you've checked, is the power to the gage isn't there. If the tank sending unit ground to frame is not connected, the gage will go past the full mark. No power to the gage it will stay at empty side. Power goes from fuse to gage, gage to sending unit and back to gage. Make sure the fuse is good on both sides of it. The gage just isn't getting power from the fuse.

2008 jaguar s series gas gage quit working

probably not all that difficult to fix it you have patience. The needle going way past full is an indication of a short before the sender unit or in the sender unit. Pull the power wire from the sender unit and see what the gauge does. IT should stay on the empty mark. IT may be just a fuel sender unit .

Gages and dash lights

Have you checked the fuses? Look in the owner's manual for the locations... you might have just blown one.

Gas needle does not go to full when you fill up

you must open the fuel tank and pullout the sensor which is mostly a float with a variable resistance and recalibrate it . so i think you shoul see a mechanic

Fuel level sensor in tank bad????

Yes it is all one unit, and yes that is what the problem is. don't use aftermarket parts, use OEM, (Delco Remy) they are much better quality.

Temp gage, fuel gage and dash lights out

You need the voltage regulator for the fuel/temp gauge. The cluster has to be removed to change it and while your in there change out the illumination bulbs and that should take car of your lighting issue. I have enclosed a link for the regulator (I found this online, it is not my own). Just copy and paste it to your address bar.
