Question about 2006 GMC Sierra
Need brakes probley to low and locking on

I had the same problem,what I had was the wheel bearing was gone on my 2006 Sierra P/U and the friction and heat from the wheel bearing melted the speed sensor on the wheel and that is why the ABS light was on the sensor was not working and the bearing was gone ,and thew speed sensor does controll the transmittion on when to shift,hope this helps
