ONE THING YOU CAN DO IS GET AT THE AUTO PARTS STORE A CIRCUIT BREAKER, NO BIGGER THAN 10 AMP RATING MAKE SURE THE CONTACTS LOOK THE SAME AS THE FUSE YOU ARE REPLACING. WHEN YOU PLUG IT IN IT WILL BREAK THE CIRCUIT IF THERE IS A PROBLEM,

Hi, my Nissan Sunny recently acquired from a car dealer...Has no tail lights, and no park lights, and no dash lights. Replaced the fuse for the tail lights and it keeps blowing.

If you are replacing tge correct fuse and its blowing then there must be a short circuit, I have jnow bulbs to cause this sometimes so I would remove bulbs amd check or just buy new bulbs as tgey are wuite cheap, replace the ones in the tail lights first, also is this just when the lights are turned on? Is the fuse ok when braking? Hope this helps

1997 Nissan sentra. No lights brake/tail/turn signals on the rear section of vehicle. All front lighting works. What could cause this? Wiring diagram would help

1st check the fuse box. The corresponding fuse for that set of lights could be blown. If so, replace it with one of the same voltage.

If its not blown, next check all the light bulbs and terminals to their sockets. (With the light swithed off...checking solder or crimp connectors for breaks or corrosion)

If these are good, it might be a short in the wires to the lights. That is best fixed by a mechanic.

In a 1997 pickup parking lights not working and license plate light not working.Checked all fuses and are ok .Is there something else I can check.bulbs ok

Sounds like a faulty terminal inside the connector for the tail lights. Start from the rear under truck and inspect the connectors by disconnecting them.

Rear park lights keep blowing fuse

first mistake you make is to increase the fuse capacity to above that required. You have a short in the circuit and by putting such a large fuse in you run the very real risk of burning the wiring loom. Check the bulb sockets and check that the right bulbs are in the sockets. bulbs come in two styles. one has 2 contact points and is either for 2 filaments (stop and tail) or a earth wire (Plastic light units) and the other is a single contact that earths out through the metal base . If you have the wrong bulb in place the current will short directly across the contacts and the light will not come on and the fuse will blow. Fuses for tail lights will be 5 amp maximun

Marker lights do not work. 1994 nissan pickup SE

I would start by checking all the fuses, then check the headlight switch, test it for power as you did the tail light, then check the wiring coming out of the cab down the frame to the rear of bed check for a short but if all fuses are good then will not be a short, may be a bad switch and the most important is the bulbs, make sure they are good.

Blowing fuses for my tail lights

Hi, Tail lights are probably the most common blowing problem. The tail lights are handed and shouldn't blow together ie , Lhs or Rhs.High or your check list should be Number plate wiring (it's more exposed and prone to damage, Secondly try the hinge areas where the cableing leaves the body and enters the boot lid.
On rare occasions it can be something you've previously tampered with ; ie cigarette lighter socket , front lamp bulb holder, even a towing socket if fitted etc . Finally a bad earth connection will not blow fuses unless the wire is completely detached and floating around the lamp cluster. Good Luck

Tail light fuse keeps blowing. I have traced the wiring back to the tail lights and it all seems fine. I have taken out the turn signal lights and the light switch, put in to the first position for parking...

Are the bulbs out of the sockets and the fuse blows?
Take bulbs out and check again
Place one back at a time if fuse was OK with bulbs out to locate bad bulb.
Otherwise.......
Do this........if still needed with bulbs out and fuse blowing.
Put a circuit breaker in to replace the fuse of the same amperage.
It will trip off then back on.
Use a standard cheap magnetic compass........place along lighting wiring........the wire with current will cause the needle to jump as circuit breaker trips on and off.
Follow path of current to problem.....the compass will stop moving once past the shorted /grounded wire/connection.
