This is just a suggestion that may fit the symptoms. It sounds like you are not getting fuel at times which could mean that your fuel pump is supplying fuel, but your in line fuel filter is getting clogged and not letting fuel pass to the injectors. The fuel that has mandated alcohol in it is highly hydroscopic and picks up a lot of water that ends up in your tank and mixes with the rust that it causes on the steel tank. That gunk is sucked up by the pump and under pressure blocks your fuel filter after a while, and is so impacted that it cuts off the fuel flow stalling the engine. If you let it sit for a while, then the impacted debris settles down in the bottom half of the filter allowing the fuel to flow, but under pressure it builds up at the exit port again. It could be as simple as changing the fuel filter.

Why does the air bag light flash?

You are not providing enough information ..Vehicle type year, constant or intermittent . Air bag lights indicate failure of the system. could be impact sensors , seat sensors or even seat belt sensors triggering the light. This has to be checked by a qualified dealer that has the proper equipment to analyze the system. I should be it fixed as soon as possible .

My 2003 Ford Focus dies when idling after a little road trip.

have the check engine light checked at a parts store its usuall free. I would bet its the idle air control motor. This controls the fuel air mixture at idle

Ok so I bought a 2002 Nissan altima my husband drove it 15 miles filled up gas and drove approx 5 and it died - bad fuel pump.... We replaced the fuel pump but still having drive for awhile and die issues....

theres nothing wrong with the fuel pump..did you test the mass air floww sensor or have the egr valve replaced..it will save you trouble from keeping your 2002 nissan altima from dying out.

Air bag light is flashing. Car then sputters

It is a short in one of the ignition wire, car start, and while drive wire get hot and in
short circuit, drain the battery and posible burn the diodes in the alternator.
Identify wire and replace

Saturn 1997 SL1, step on gas after a stop sign , the car wouldn't go ... then Air Bag light came "ON", followed by Fuel Light , and final dies ...

sounds like your alternator is not charging.I would have that checked first. Also check battery terminal bolts/ cables
