Question about 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee

I have a 1996 grand cherokee, and the motor has shutting off while driving. Mostly when i decelerate and it is hot and humid outside. Sometimes it will restart immediately but some times it may be an hour or longer

If it is humidity related I would replace the coil and plug wires just to eliminate the possibility.

Sounds like a clogged fuel filter to me, maybe look into the TPS: throttle positioning sensor. Good luck

If it has a 4.0 liter engine the crank position sensor has a long history of causing this problem.

Wet floor on front passenger side. Mostly when A?C is on, but also when heater runs.


This is a common problem due to your condensor that gets humid and drips. Sometimes silicone helps.
