I can't figure out how to get the water pump out of my 1997 rodeo? Do I need to pull the harmonic balancer?

On most vehicles you do, so very likely, in your case.
You need good access to install the pump, so you don't cause a leak.

Is it right or left hand thread on harmonic balancer (1996 rodeo)

The harmonic balancer should loosen in the CCW direction. Turn the bolt to counter clock wise direction. To tighten the bolt turn in clock wise direction. -------------- This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.

I need to find the timing (TDC) marks for my 95 isuzu rodeo. I had to replace the front main seal gasket. I had to pull the harmonic balancer to get to the seal. I put everything back together & now...

There is no way that could happen unless you did not put the woodruff key back into the crankshaft recess and put crank pulley on random!!!

Harmonic balancer pulley is free spinning/not charging alternator .making a metal grinding metal sound ,doesnt have any power at take off, sluggish changing gears .

If the harmonic balancer is spinning freely on the crank, the key has sheared off and likely has damaged the balancer and possibly the crank. Pull it off, replace the key and check the balancer and crank for excessive wear.

I cant get the harmonic balancer off nor can I find a way to stop if from turning so that I can loosen the nut

you need a big breaker bar or pipe to break it loose and you need a chain wrench to hold it. the chain wrench wraps around the pulley. if you can get an impact gun in there that may work.
