Question about 1996 Pontiac Grand Am
You replace the rear speakers through the trunk.Locate the rear speakers in your trunk and there should be 4 screws or bolts and nuts hilding them in.Very easy removal and instulation.Hope that helped you out.

Most time the rear speaker (package self) is held in by a metal spring clip over a black carboard jute felt filled enclosure, unclip this retainner and speaker comes right out.

Under your rear seat in front where you put your feet, there are 2 plastic tabs you pull down on to release the seat, from there lift the seat up.
Then if i remember correctly, your going to need a wrench to take out to bolts that hold the back of the seat in, and from there its pretty self explanitory.
