Question about 2003 Lincoln Navigator

1 Answer

Radio ? We bought this navigator a couple of months ago and on the face of the radio screen with all the other buttons I have a telephone icon. When I push it, it says no phone service. Our Lincoln dealer said it wasn't the original radio that is in an 03 although it says lincoln on it when it first comes on. They don't know what it is for or what kind it is. Does anyone have a clue on this?

All fords have that button that just means if you get a phone call on your cell, and hit the phone button your player
goes silent to ground out the sound. It's a mute buttom.

My husband, 2002 ford truck had it and also his 2005 truck
has it.

Remove stereo out of 06 navigator

I believe the Lincoln is the same as the Ford stereo. You should see four holes on the face of the stereo. There is a pair of u shaped tools that you can pick up from any auto parts store for just a couple bucks that releases the tabs in the radio face. Just insert both of them, push gently to the inside and pull the radio out.

THX navigation system in 2007 Lincoln MKX

Could be mute controls for the telephone. The voice for the Navigation is adjusted separately from the radio volume. If any work was done on the vehicle, like a battery disconnect, then radio controls may need to be reset.

You need to toggle through the Menu to things like screen brightness for the Navigation.

You also have a speed sensitive radio and the volume controls could be affected by these settings.

Buzzing Noise in Radio of 2008 Navigator

You are under warranty. Use the Customer Service Phone# and question why this is not fixed.

It sounds like it can be alternator or body grounded antenna problem. You should also check and see if the problem starts with the heater coming on.

The heater would start after the car heats up(10 minutes) or the Alternator would have finished charging and switched into idle mode( about 10 minutes).

Can't get navigation and cd player to work

You can purchase the manual from the dealer. You need the disc for the nav system to program it. Another is you may need to have a code to operate the nav. Did you press the mode button to go from radio to cd? Try to detach the negative battery or press the reset button to factory default, this will bring you back to the factory settings. It looks like a small hole on the radio face. You must use a fine point to push it in and reset it. Is a cd stuck inside of the cd slot? Do all your trouble shooting first and you will find your answer......runjoe
