96 Mercury villager I turn the key and nothing .all light and everything works but it don't even turn over when I turn key there is a ticking sound coming from the fuse box

that ticking noise means the relay is working so you should hit the starter with some heavy metal pipe, tool or anything a couple of hits should work then try to start it if the car start or make a different sound you will need to replace the starter

The car will not start when turning key ,the battery is good ,i can start with key on if i cross over the starter with screw driver

You need to replace the starter solenoid, it sounds like there is too much resistance in the relay section, that is why you can start it from there but not the key.

Have a 1995 Mercury Villager that wont start have replaced the starter battery cables switch what else can it be please help.

try spraying starting fluid in air intake or throttle body. If it starts, it is a fuel problem. Can you hear ful pump run for 5 seconds when you turn key on? Pump is in tank.

Have a 1995 Mercury Villager that wont start have replaced the starter, battery, cables, switch, what else can it be please help.

I assume it won't crank. Are you getting power to the small terminal to the starter when someone turns the key? Can you jump power to it and get it to crank? It could be a bad neutral safety switch.

No start

It sounds like you need to clean both battery cable connections on the battery and make sure they are not spread. You may have to cut off steel clamps and replace with lead kit. Also, clean the 2 smaller wires on the poitive post of the battery.

95 Mercury Villager will not start

check/replace the starter relay switch in the relay box under the hood. The relay box is located on the front right of the engine compartment. easy fix, inexpensive part if that is the problem.

Check the battery first. Or try jumping it. Battery may not have enough juice to turn the motor.

Have a 1999 mercury sable that key wouldn't turn off ignition so had to pull fuel pump fuse..Fixed ignition switch and now when you turn on key lights on dash and theft lights come on but won't turn...

you may have to go to a lock smith because one of the tumblers on the key switch has dropped and it could have just been a bad switch I had a similar problem on an old aerostar and I ended up replacing the whole steer column and took it to a lock smith before I installed it so the keys matched
