Hyundai 2013 I30 gearbox 'SKLITCH' between 5th and 6th gear

It sounds like BS to me but what do I know. I'm only in this business for 40 years. What they did was put heavy oil in the gear box to try to mask the sound. That's why it is difficult to shift (stiff).

Alway ask for the old parts when a replacement is not visible after repairs!

Hi plz asst me, I have jaguar x type 1999 model, I was change transmission oil in the gearbox, and now the gearbox not working. Plz I need asst

Hi, changing transmission oil can't cause your car not having gears. If your car is automatic transmission your car must be on idling and check level of transmission oil. If the level of oil is low you will not have gears.

Toyota Landcruiser VX 4.2 turbo diesel automatic

Bit of a long shot, but check the output of the throttle position sensor with a multimeter.

Also, check that the low range switch isn't continually reporting that you are in low range. The gearbox computer adopts a VERY harsh shift pattern in low range, holding gears until approx. 3500 RPM and even then producing very hard shifts.

Try unplugging the connector that carries the low range sense signal from the transfer box under the vehicle and see if that makes a difference.

I have a Aisin seiki A1 1000 winch on a Landcruiser that has lost some oil from the gearbox. The oil has a reddy colour. Is this a special oil or will any good gear oil do.

if it has a funny smell and its thick then i would use ep90 back axle oil.But without sticking my finger in it to see its difficult to know ,it could be dextron which is thinner and like auto transmission oil
