Question about 2004 Audi A4
Happened to me also; turned out to be one of the four coils. Had it repaired at Audi, in addition to 2 break lights, totalling $276. Was then informed that the coils tend to go in sucession--perhaps should have replaced them all at once?!

As you describe it the exact same thing happened to me. It was nothing but my sparkplugs I have an Audi A4 T1.13 2004 and they are so simple to change. I know nothing about cars and I changed all four with my bare hands no tools needed. Once I changed them the car was totally back to normal.
