Sounds like from what you describe it's a leaking break caliper. The best thing to do is get a rebuilt one. It's best to replace them in pairs. Also replace or clean the brake pads thoroughly!

What do you mean no brakes? pedal was stiff would not press down?, pedal went to floor? That needs to be checked. if there are no fluid leaks, I would suspect the master cylinder.

1996 Suburban. Does the brake pedal gradually go all the way to the floor if the problem was worn brake pads ????

no worn pads do not cause a sinking pedal, you have a defective brake master cylinder, the seals inside the master cylinder are leaking

Just changed rear brake pads on 05 mazda 6. now

This is normal and you need to keep pumping the brakes till they reset there self. Once the brake peddle have reset there self and is firm, check the brake fluid level again and add brake fluid if low. After brakes have reset there self, go for a test drive around the block and check the parking brakes. Good luck.

Parking brake petal goes to floor

you either have air in the brake lines, a cracked brake line, or low of brake fluid... either way you will need to bleed the brakes

have you had the brake pads changed recently?

Brake pedal goes to the floor after you make your initial stop at a red light.while you;re holding the brake

there is either a leak in one of the lines or you have air in the brake lines. start by bleeding your brakes lines and checking you fluid. then see if you notice a leak in which case fix it then bleed that line and you should be good. if not then it could be a bad master cylinder that would be the next step. also if you had your rotors cut down below spec then the pedal could go to the floor and not have much stopping power. same could go for very bad pads. but from what you explained it sounds like a leak
