My brakes on my 1991 buick skylark went out the other day. They were real tight then all the sudden they got loose and there was no brakes. I was told it needed brake fluid because it was dry but I wondered if there might be more to it.

Yes there is more to it. It is possible that a brake line broke or a flex line. Possible a caliper is seized or if the vehicle has rear drum brakes the rear wheel cylinder is leaking.

Hello chubl.... When a car gets to be the age of yours it is common to have brake line failure. Get that car up into a rack and have the brake cables inspected. If they are bad, replace them and then add the brake fluid. Joe

Why is there no brake fluid to bleeder screws on maqstercylinder in a 1996 buick skylark

Because you don't need them?

Have you ever bleed a master cyl & then
walked it to a car?

That is one real mess

Once you start to bleed the brakes, the air moves
to each wheel,no need to ever bleed a master

If you were to bench bleed it,then the air would be back in there,
as you hooked up the 2 brake lines

Have to experience those things & have a very perceptive
view of how things work, kind of a gift your born with.
