Re: Need to change my fuel filter
The fuel filter is part of the fuel pump assembly located in the tank.
- Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.
- Relieve the fuel system pressure.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the two fitting nuts while holding the filter.
- Remove the filter mounting bolts and the filter from the clamp.
- Installation is the reverse of removal. Tighten the fitting nuts to 22-29 ft. lbs. (30-40 Nm).
- Connect the negative battery cable.
- Start the engine and check for leaks.
