It's doubtful, but your best bet would be to consult with a dealer of Mongoose products, an independent stereo shop, or search the various Audi owners' forums (www.audiforums.com, www.audizine.com, etc) - chances are someone there has a similar system and may be able to help you out.

Based on all the info you have provided I think you need a professional to get involved here, I am not willing to "GUESS" what might be the issue or issues (more likely more than one).
Good luck

Keyless entry module

The keyless entry module is under the rear package tray inside the trunk.
This system is not directly related to the courtesy lights circuit.
Contact me for details and instructions on how to troubleshoot. I just went through a major repair ordeal and learned a great deal about both systems.

95GT mustang. Was trying to reinstall the excalibar keyless alarm system, now my speedometer, dome light, and door seal lights (aftermarket) dont work. Cant find any blown fuses anywere. Can someone please...

If you have positive voltage at all your checkpoints and at the individual loads, check their respective grounds also.. If no fault is found I'd recommend disconnecting your aftermarket keyless system, reattaching the wires to their original factory connection and using the original keyless entry system.. Get the remote(s) at Amazon (normally pretty reasonably priced.. I got 4 for less than $25, including shipping) and reset your factory system to those remote(s).. The control module is in the trunk on the driver's side behind the trunk fascia panel.. Instructions are on YouTube.. Or just take the aftermarket system out, rewire back to factory, hopefully everything comes back online for you.. Do the the vehicle trade and hand them the aftermarket system as a "bonus"

2008 HHR Remote Starter not working

Is this an issue with all 2008 HHR remotes??? Highly doubtful , probably the vehicles keyless entry system . Taking the vehicle to a qualified repair shop an having the keyless entry system checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's . Do you know what a DTC is ?
The keyless entry system is a vehicle entry device. The keyless entry system is used in conjunction with the body control module (BCM) to remotely activate certain vehicle features. Keyless entry will lock/unlock the doors, or release the rear compartment lid when a corresponding button on the keyless entry transmitter is pressed. This is accomplished by the transmitter sending a radio frequency to the remote control door lock receiver (RCDLR). The RCDLR interprets the signal and activates the requested function via a serial data message to the BCM. A low transmitter or vehicle battery or radio frequency (RF) interference from aftermarket devices, such as 2-way radios, power inverters, computers, etc., may cause a system malfunction. High RF traffic areas may also cause interference that could lead to a malfunction. Keyless entry allows you to operate the following components:
• Door locks
• Liftgate lock
• Remote rear doors (Panel only)
• Vehicle locator/panic alarm
• Illuminated entry lamps
• Remote vehicle start
The keyless entry system has the following components:
• Keyless entry transmitters
• Keyless entry antenna
• 2 Way Advanced Remote Start RCDLR
• BCM

Guessing will not fix this .

I have a 96 ford conversion van with a 600 plus addon keyless system and need to program new keyless remots , need to know how to get system in program mode.

Hi.

To program ( or reprogram ) a keyless entry remote transmitter into the remote keyless entry module, perform the following steps:

1. Turn the key to ON or ACC and short the two terminals of the program connector, a two-pin connector located below the driver's side of the instrument panel at the base of the steering column. All doors should lock and then unlock.
2. Press any button on each keyless entry remote transmitter in turn. All doors should lock and then unlock. If the door locks do not respond, press the button again (up to three times maximum with the same keyless entry remote transmitter). If the door locks still fail to respond, go to Pinpoint Test A.
3. Repeat Step 2 to program additional keyless entry remote transmitters into the remote keyless entry module (up to four keyless entry remote transmitters maximum).
4. Turn key off.
5. Remove the short from the program connector. All doors should lock and then unlock.
6. Verify that the keyless entry remote transmitters have been successfully programmed by pressing the LOCK or UNLOCK button on each one, and observing that the system responds by locking and/or unlocking the doors.

I hope this helps you.

Thanks!

My keyless entry system does not work. I replaced the battery, but it did'nt help. flbob72@aol.com

It may not be the battery, however, if the battery went bad, you must reset the system after replacing battery. Read the owner's manual for instructions on resetting or go to your local GM dealer.

2000 Lincoln Towncar. Keypad on door will not unlock doors. Interior lights do come on. The last two keys pushed simultaneously will occasionally lock the doors. I am using the code printed on a sticker in...

The driver door module (DDM) is connected on the standard corporate protocol (SCP) communication network. The DDM controls many functions including power windows, power door locks and remote keyless entry. The DDM also communicates with the driver seat module (DSM) to control the power mirror and seat memory functions.
Do you know anything about automotive electronic control modules ?
The driver door module (DDM) receives inputs from the digital transmission range (DTR) sensor, ignition switch, seat switch, window/door lock switches, lighting control module (LCM), keyless entry keypad switch and remote transmitter. The DDM outputs consists of keyless entry keypad switch illumination, power door lock actuators, luggage compartment release solenoid, horn relay, and lighting control module (LCM).
Best thing to do would be to have a factory scan tool hooked up to check for DTC'S diagnostic trouble codes . That should be the first step if it's not programming the code.
  • The doors do not lock/unlock using the keyless entry keypad
  • Keypad.
