05 PT cruiser wont start?

If you are getting fire and fuel to the throttle body check the catalytic converter and muffler to ensure they are not plugged up. If one of them is then it puts back pressure on the engine and will not allow the fuel to enter the cylinders and fire and start the truck. You can remove the 02 sensor ahead of the catalytic converter and it should start if this is the problem. The truck will still run rough but start and if so then you have to determine which is plugged up. My guess would be the cat.

I've got a 99 GMC but it died on me a couple of weeks ago.. I've had a friend hook it up to a diagnostic machince and it said cam sensor. We zerod out the code and my truck still doesn't fire... it turns...

Did you replace the cam sensor??? A code in the computer won't stop it from running, it just tells you there is an issue. It will clear itself when the issue is fixed. (After some driving)
Back up and see what is missing, spark or fuel. (Note...a working fuel pump may still not get fuel, as the injectors need to be "fired" to allow fuel into the engine.)
