Where is the pcv valve on corolla 2001 - Corolla Toyota Cars & Trucks

I have a 98 Corolla Toyota CE Sedan and it was vibrating as well (2yrs it does this now). If it doesn't vibrate it gets a sweaky sound (like from the passanger side). I thought a belt needed changing but the dealer said no. The dealer said that the timing belt tensioner needed to be changed and so it was done Nov 2008 ($200). Still sweaky. I usually take it in every three months for an oil change near work. The person that did the oil change (non-dealer) noticed a leak and thought it could be coming from the power steering. I changed the air filter but don't know where the pvc valve is located. Canthis help? What else can be considered?

Hi blizotte
im dave
if you remove the plastic plenum on top of the engine being careful not to break it (the one that says VVT-I on it) you will notice a green valve with a hose running to it toward the passenger side. This is your pcv valve. Remove the hose, unscrew the valve (you'll need a wrench) and replace.

Instead of the marvel oil I would change the oil and filter and add one quart of Lucas oil additive as it will help coat the cylinder walls and reduce the oil consumption. You may also want to replace the PCV valve on top of the valve cover as a sticky PCV valve could be causing internal pressure to build up in the engine and cause oil to leak past the piston rings.

How and what to do the tuning on 2003 toyota corolla s?

Plugs, air filter, pcv Valve (located in valve cover) this valve is really important relieve buildup pressure, a clog pcv can create oil leaks, an open pcv can create a hard to start condition. Clean Throttle body and clean battery terminals. Note, toyota uses Japanese plugs DEnso, etc, when people go to autozone they love to give them bosh plug after some months of operation the plugs fail to perform properly giving low percentage missfire and creating fuel economy problems.

P0446 is a "EVAP System - vent control malfunction"
I have a 2000 Corolla and was getting this code, resetting and about 1 1/2 tank or 500 miles later it would come back on. I changed the PCV valve as a first easy fix and no luck. Then I read online about a possible solution was what is called a VSV (Vacuum Switching Valve) and replacing that. I decided to spend the $80 and replace it. It is now 2500 miles later and no more check engine light. The valve is situated under the car just past the gas tank towards the front of the car by the rear axel. It is right by the charcoal canister and is a little tricky to get at but it can be done. Only one tiny screw holds it in it's bracket and I could not get it back in so i zip tied it in there. The unit that I replaced looked to be in pretty good shape but there was some corrosion on it and it looked feasible that it could be defective and apparenlty it was.

Where is the pcv valve on a 2001 mercury couagar

4 cylinder or 6?

The PCV Monitor consists of a modified PCV system design. The PCV valve is installed into the rocker cover using a quater-turn cam-lock design to prevent accidental disconnection. High retention force molded plastic lines are used from the PCV valve to the intake manifold. The diameter of the lines and the intake manifold entry fitting are increased so that inadvertent disconnection of the lines after a vehicle is serviced will cause either an immediate engine stall or will not allow the engine to be restarted.
