SOURCE: Guages or HVAC Controls don't light up

Good Day,

Sounds to me like your headlight switch needs to be replaced. When you turn your light's on (parking or headlights) the switch sends two outputs, one to the exterior lights and the other output is your cluster and hvac illuminaton. You can get a new switch from a dealer for around 30 bucks new. Here's a pic of what you need:

You do need to remove your outer dash panel to gain access.

Sorry this posting is so short, just worked a 14hr day. If you need further help with replacing the switch I can walk you though the process.

Hope this helps for now.

Not roadmaster but should be quite similar, if not same. (schematics) just in case this helps.

SOURCE: 1. At night there

The HVAC control, if it is the Electronic version, you might want to try unplugging, and plugging it back in. Remove the center trim panel by opening the ash tray, and pulling on each corner. The trim panel is held on with 6 spring clips ( 3 on each side ).

When you have the panel loose ( don't move too far, the HVAC controls and the Passenger Airbga Deactivated light are still hooked up ), un hook the 2 cam over connectors ( circled in blue ). After hooking back up, the HVAC will be off, you need to manually turn it on.
2. The dash lights could be the wrong bulb, or some could be blown out. F150online.com -> Technical Articles section has a thread on removing the dash to change the bulbs.

These are the 2 starting points.

I have no power going to the climate control module. Background lights are on but there is no digital display, no temp control, no air flow control, no rear controls, etc. Can't find any bad fuses, where...

Look in your fuse block and look for (HVAC) section. Should be a 15 or 20 amp. fuse. The fuse block may be located out under the hood and there should be another one behind the driver side lower dashboard panel. If fuses checks out okay, try cycling connectors on the back of the HVAC panel. If that doesn't work, you might have a faulty HVAC module. Hopefully that won't be the problem.

HVAC Blower stopped working

The fuse you replaced powers the hvac control. The run relay is powered by a 30amp fuse in the fuse box near the battery.
Is the relay getting power from that 30amp fuse ?

2006 lacrosse cxl the air and heat stopped working. the lights for this function stopped showing. i pulled the fuse on the passenger side and put back, it worked again. However the problem was the same...

Is this the fuse you pulled or a different fuse? I looked at info for automatic hvac on your vehicle. The fuse in the diagram shows to be a dedicated circuit, no splices on the wire circuit, goes to havc control module.
It might be possible to use inline fuse off positive battery post. That way you could bypass the fuse block and the wiring circuit both, up to a point. You would need to leave pig-tail wire at the hvac control module to splice new wire. At the fuse block, just leave the fuse unplugged. The autostore sells inline fuse socket. You may not want to get into this, in this manner? Just a thought. Of course if the problem is the hvac control module itself or wire connector at the module, it won't work. I'm just thinking out loud.

Blower fan only works on high

CHECK THE HVAC CTRL FUSE.

WITH A TEST LIGHT CHECK THE BLOWER RESISTOR FOR POWER ON THE YELLOW, TAN, PURPLE, AND LIGHT BLUE WIRES. THE ORANGE WIRES CONTROL THE HIGH SPEED CIRCUIT. DO THIS FOR EACH POSITION OF THE BLOWER SWITCH.

THE BROWN WIRE ON THE HVAC CONTROL CONNECTOR 1 POSITION B COMES FROM THE HVAC FUSE 20 AMP. NO POWER ON THAT WIRE WILL CAUSE THE BLOWER TO NOT FUNCTION ON THE LOWER SPEEDS.

I have a 2006 kia sorento and the heat panel does not light up and i can't adjust the temps, fans, nothing!  i'm freezing!

well it's worth checking , there is a fuse in the under hood fuse block labeled F/BLW , its for the front heater / air conditioner blower , and there is a TSB , technical service bulletin on the lights for the HVAC control unit , but this vehicle is covered under the 60k base warranty . i don't know if i would want to go to much farther than checking that fuse , taking the HVAC control out might void any warranty , be careful . do you have the owners manual to help you identify the F/BLW fuse under the hood ? if not i would ask the dealer to supply you with one , as there wasn't one at the time of purchasing your vehicle and maybe they will give you one . good luck with replacing the fuse , hope it works for you since it's so cold .
