Question about 1997 BMW 328
I have a 1997 328i
that was manufactured in oct of 1996. the tranny was giving me a
problem and so i decided to change it instead of rebuilding. i got
another tranny from a 97 328i and had it shipped in from a different
city. today i got a call from the auto shop doing the change that the
tranny harness from my car did not fit into the used tranny i got. only
for the me to realise that the used tranny i got was from a 97 328i
manufactured early in 1997. i am in a dilemma not knowing what to do.
my thought is that i could get the harness from the car where the used tranny is from and switch it with the harness in my car. would that work? do i have to get the right tranny? or do i have to change the harness and the automatic transmission module?
i really need help and good advice as i am so depressed right now.
Thats a body style change, probly wont work. usualy the transmission and its module must be replaced together.
