You can buy a retro-fit kit, for converting from R12 to R134a, at just about any auto-parts store.

How to get freon into my minivan with a good compressor and a clutch that works real quiet clutch that spins good

First you need to locate the low side of the charging system. This is usually determined by the connector you can get now days with the Freon. Not sure what year you are working with but the Schrader valve on the line will normally be two different sizes so you can not hook up to the high side. You can press down on the Schrader valve and if there is pressure in the system it will release a small amount of Freon, if you are trying to determine if it is allowing the Freon to enter the system. The Schrader valves screw in just like a bike stem valve does, if it needs to be changed. .

Ac drainline 2002 toyota camry

Hi Andreas, The valves for evacuation and refilling the ac are the same. To drain the system an evacuation pump should be connected to the low pressure and high pressure valves. The valves are situated in the engine compartment, the high pressure has a red valve cover and the low pressure black. You will easily find the valves by looking along the air conditioning plumbing. What type of freon is in GMC trucks of 1987?

R12.... In 1994 R134a was required, but some changed earlier. Yours may have been converted. If the service ports are threaded it still has R12. Hope this helps.

Hi I bought a used volve about 6 months ago. Lately when I use the ac the far left vent blows out warm air and it also is not blowing out as cold of air as it used to. I was going to add some more freon...

> I was going to add some more freon and the gauge that came with the can does not fit the valve. There are normally two valves on the AC lines; one is the low-pressure valve (inlet to the compressor), the other is a high pressure line leaving the compressor and going into the exchanger. The low pressure valve is the point at which Freon is added and pressure is measured with a single valve. The high pressure valve is customarily used only by service personal to determine compressor performance and should never be used to recharge the system; they are intentionally different to avoid rupturing the the Freon container. Trace all of the lines to be sure if you have found the right one to use for recharging and measuring the 'low' pressure side.

LOCATION OF LOW PRESSURE AC VALVE ON 1992 FORD ECONOLINE 150 TO CHARGE AC

Valve is between accumulator and evaporator on the passenger side. Your van originally came with R-12 freon, so you will need to verify that it has been converted to R-134 before adding freon. The different gasses (and especially the lubricating oils) do not mix well.

2000 ford taurus low end ac valve

please rate as fixed if this helps you.

The low pressure service gauge port valve is located on the evaporator to accumulator/drier suction line.

The evaporator to accumulator/drier suction line contains low pressure refrigerant gas and is equipped with a serviceable low pressure A/C charge valve port.
