? my 1996 dyna wideglide wont start and backfires out pipes.

Backfiring out the exhaust pipes is a classic symptom of camshaft timing out of time ... meaning you probably have a timing chain or belt that either jumped one or more teeth, or the cross ribs came off the belt in certain areas of the timing belt. Gear driven camshafts hardly ever get out of time, but timing chains can, and timing belts are the worst offenders by far for that problem!

Often change timing belt

I don't know of an Eldorado that uses a belt. They use a timing chain.
Cars that use a belt will not run when the belt breaks.

What are causes of a bad timing belt in1996 hyundai elantra

Timing belts do wear out - they flex and bend literally millions of times while they last.
If you are having problems with timing belts wearing out before their rated lifespan, check the timing gears for misalignment, burrs, wear, or improper lubrication. Worn crank, camshaft or belt tensioner bearings may also cause problems with the belt. Also make sure the belt tensioner is working properly, with the rated amount of tensioning force.

96 prelude with a 2.3l change timing belt and balance shaft belt and new water pump and cam and crank seals. Also a complete tune up plugs wire cap and rotor. car run great but when at a stop the idle...

running good --not a timing belt problem
possible a balance timing belt problem as that shaft has to timed correctly or it accentuates the engine pulse vibrations
run the fault codes and check for injector dirty problems

Does My 93 Camry have a timing chain or Belt ? when to change it?

its timing belt. This car requires the timing belt to be serviced at every 60k miles. This engine is a non-interference motor, so the engine will not get damaged internally if belt breaks. But other parts externally can become damaged. Also at the same time the timing belt is changed, replace the water pump, idler and tensioner pulleys.

1995 Honda civic - Replaced a bad water pump, and the timing belt broke. replaced the timing belt, but the car don't start. Won't tun over. Help

Not at all unusual for the timing belt to break and cause major mechanical problems inside of your engine. A failed timing belt can totally destroy your engine due to the extremely close clearences. That's why the strongly recommend a preventative replacement of the timing belts in all Hondas and Toyotas at specified mileage frequencies between 70,000 and 120,000 miles. Change the timing belt before it destroys the engine. You may now be at a point where only the Honda Dealer or authorized garage may be able to help diagnose the problem.
