Question about 2003 Mitsubishi Outlander
I am not completely sure that the car is close to overheating but here
is what has been happening. While driving the car it does not happen
but when I am idling for any period of time or stuck in traffic the
temp gauge will rise rather rapidly. Once I get the revs up to about
2000 for 10-15 seconds the temp gauge drops. I have changed the
thermostat but that did not fix the problem.
Can anyone help diagnose this problem,
The dealer replaced the radiator fan controller twice- said there was a second recall.

I recently have had the same problem (overheating while idling)and had the recall done a few years ago so I am stumped.
Going to call the dealership tomorrow.
