Lost Radio Code HELP!!!

I got this car used and the battery died yesturday and the radio stopped working. I called the dealership and I looked everywhere they told me to look for the serial number [under the ash tray, fuse box, trunk, hood, glove box, etc.]. I think the previous owner took off the sticker.

I also took off the button by the fog light and found these 2 numbers:

*C1F0001570+* and 851110053 neither of them worked in their system.

I don't want to pay $100 for them to take it out when there may be a simpler solution.

I inherited my mom's 98 Acura RL. Battery went dead when I didn't drive it while going through probate. When we got it started, the radio was dead. I need to sell the vehicle but obviously need the radio to work since the car is otherwise very nice and low mileage. I found some numbers behind the ash tray but don't know what to do with them or how to go about resetting. I'm not very technical but any help would be appreciated.

The code should be written down in the owner's manual. But being a used car, sometimes the manual has been lost.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention, pop off the middle button between the fog light and the read defroster and you can look through the hole to get the number off of the bottom of the radio

I called my local Acura dealership and gave him the number on the bottom of my radio. He could not find the code, so he "tweeked the number and gave me two possible codes. The second code worked. YEAH!

Radio stopped after the battery died and was recharged

The first thing to check is the fuse for the radio. More likely, though, is that the radio needs a security code to turn back on. A local dealership may be willing to give you this code if you go there with your title. There also websites that offer radio unlock codes. Does the radio display anything when you start the car or when you try to turn the radio on?

Radio says Secure on Nissan Almera Tino (04)

Your radio believes that it has been stolen out of the car since battery power was lost to it (as a result of the car battery going dead). There should be instructions in the user manual on how to reset the radio.

Need code for radio?? 04 honda civic

Look in your owners manual or car delivery pack(manual and other papers were all in a plastic bag when vehicle was new). There may be a card with RADIO ANTI-THEFT CODE written on it, or sometimes they write it inside the front page of the owners manual. If you CANT locate the card, then look around the glovebox area for a sticker with 8 numbers on it. Those are the radio serial number. write them down and call your local dealership and tell them your battery died and you need the radio unlock number and they will ask for the radio serial number and then use that to generate the correct number. once you get the number, write it down in the manual and Id also recommend writing it on a sticker you can place in the glovebox in case it happens again it will never get lost and always be there.

You should be able to enter the 4 digit code via the radio2_bing.gif. If the radio has been replaced, you may need to recover the radio's serial number: Porsche Boxster: Online Lost Radio Code Recovery Tool

2003 Honda sportscar- battery died-restarted it now radio says "err-1"

On Hondas when power is not supplied to the radio it goes into a safe mode, this is to help prevent it from being stolen. You will need a code to input into your radio. If you call or visit your local dealership they can look up this code using your VIN, it is typically a 6 digit numerical code, you just use the preset buttons to enter it. If you bought the vehicle new you should have this number in some of your paperwork/manuals. Good day!
