Question about 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix
The change oil soon light came on. I changed the oil and it still won't go off.
You are able to reset it. The directions are in your manual:
1. press the options button under the screen utnil ENGINE OIL MONITOR appears on the DIC screen
2. Press the set/reset button to reset the system
The next screen indicates that the engine oil monitor system has been reset.
If the message is still on...try steps again

Some GM cars resetting the change oil light is as simple as turning on ignition switch and stomping the accelerator pedal four or five times within five seconds
