I have just changed the timing belt on a 2001 Acura TL and now the engine turns over but will not start.
did you follow all steps in the FSM on this? if not, why not.
id never crank any interference motor over, with out checking
the timing 3 times, or 4th after sober, or after Cell phone died.
stop , take a break, or a nap , then check timing one more time.
and sparks out, roll crank by hand, no hit? and the 4 cycles.
of OTTO cycle, are looking good, per valve action viewed.
Intake, compr. fire stroke, exhaust, repeat? good a actions?
This last step is covered in all ASE classes on topic.
never just crank it. DOHC engines, or any that are known or suspected as being interference. (i do a leak down test, im so paranoid ($3000 new engines...make me that way)
its your motor. so....
what engine, there are many? world wide.......

end data:
Let guess what happened? and what the right path is.
Interference motors.. (no context to your post so.....)
1: engine died.? did it? a KEY POINT THAT !
2: if find my belt , Tbelt all funky.
3: i put in a new one. (i time it 3 times, sober, no cell phones on ear)
4: i roll engine, by hand ,seems ok. ? yes.
5: i do a leak down test, on each cylinder at it's TDC fire points.
it passes, so i crank it.
it fails, oops, valves bent (stop , dont pass go or collect $200)
not doing this, in the correct order invites total destruction.
Unlimited,.....................................
google that , DOHC went boom.
