You can not turn it off, usually you will have to take it to the dealship and they have a computer to turn it off, when it the promblem is fixed. tpms sensor could be on for couple of reason, either your tires are getting worn out and the tpms sensor in your tire is not functioning, the tire cap are not tpms standard. Meanwhile if that light is really ignoring, and not of those issue that I've mention are causing it to come on and you believe it to be a computer issue, then I just take the instrument gauge panel out and locate the tpms light bulb and take it out.

Your best bet would be to have the vehicle checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes ! May not be a sensor problem , could be a wiring issue . Most auto part stores will do this for free , and if it is a sensor they can show you where it lives an how to change it !

Just i b ought sonata 2008 car and the tpms light is on and i donot know why

Usually your RF (radio frequency) is messed up and sending invalid data to your computer. You will have to take your car to the dealer and have them reset it. Mine keeps coming on too. I keep asking them if there is a recall on this. Mine has come on 5-6 times. And if you live where it is cold, it will come on in the winter too. Don't worry about this one, when theh weather warms it will go off

2007 yukon tpms keeps blinking to check tire pressure

The TPMS is a pain in the you know what. Have you changed tire sizes? There could be a bad sensor and may need replaced. We continually get problems all the time with the TPMS. We have reset then they reset again.

Hyundai Veracruz GLS 2008 Tire Pressure problem

Keep taking it back to the dealer until the fix it or give you a new car. Not that it's an immediate safety issue, it's just something that's supposed to be functioning properly. They have to address it because cars are legally required to have TPMS systems for safety. If a safety mehanism fails in your car, you can claim it is a safety issue. If you keep having problems with the TPMS light, you'll eventually ignore it. Then one day you'll have a tire going flat and you wouldn't know it.
