On my 2001 Chevy cavalier I replace I replace the steering column an ignition and it won't start how can I get it to start please I need the car to run ASAP help me

If you changed the switch you will have to go to the dealer and get the key coded. Ignition keys are coded to the specific computer and the key has to come from the dealer who knows the codes. This is what I had to do on my Camero. If this does not help call your Chevy dealer and ask them if they can code the right key.

98 chevy cavalier turns over but won't start

i know industry jargon can be confusing, but lets try this. if it turns over but won't start, it could be your ''ignition module'' that sits on top of the vave cover on the motor or it might be the fuel pump or filter. make sure when you crank the engine that the key is all the way turned or it may not always make a proper contact to activate the ignition module. iv'e seen this before & had to change the ignition switch & all worked ok after that. i would need to know engine lt size to give you more details on the matter. please get back to me.

Had no spark. Replaced ignition mod, 2 coil packs, and computer. I now have fire; problem is engine will not run, the fuel injector sprays fuel (too much i think). When i unplug the injector the engine...

Check for any wiring pinch which might have occurred when the injector was replaced. The injector is driven directly by the computer, so it seems to point at the new computer as being faulty. (pulse signal is always 'on')

Crankshaft position sensor location

1990 Chevrolet Cavalier 2.2L TBI 4cyl
The Crankshaft Position Sensor is located under hood, center, rear engine area, below ingnition coil pack and DIS module, mounted in engine block.

Fig. 1: View of the CKP sensor-to-crankshaft reluctor relationship

Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor
A magnetic crankshaft sensor (Hall Effect switch) is used which is remotely mounted on the opposite side of the engine from the DIS/IC module. The sensor protrudes in to the engine block, within about 0.050 in. (1.27mm) of the crankshaft reluctor.

I really hope help you wuth this (rated this help). have a nice day, good luck.

No spark on 1987 chevy cavalier

Crank position sensor would be my guess.
Its located the center, rear engine area, mounted in the block below the ignition coil pack and DIS module. My guess is that's your culprit.
