My toyota 3C turbo diesel engine the turbo compressor is flooding of oil . I can.t trace where it is coming from That is why I am searching service manual for this turbo charger. 12ct

Hi,

If your turbo housing is getting flooded with oil the it can only come from the shaft seal on the inside of the turbo.

You will need to remove it and replace the shaft seal.

Im trying to compare fuel consumption on a hiace 3ltr diesel turbo to a regius 2.8 ltr petrol

if both engines are in good condition, with the same driver, I would say that the diesel would have better mileage especially for highway travel. You may maximize this further if you utilize the turbo, meaning relying more on the turbo rather pressing the throttle.

We have recentley bought a 6.5 t/diesel 1998 holden surburban, having trouble with it starting, wind and wind but no fire, sometimes it starts beautifully??? The other problem is it has started turning...

Before you start replacing injectors, replace the air and fuel filters. These are critical in a diesel motor. Also check the fuel return line to make sure its not blocked. You should also get yourself a copy of Haynes Diesel Engine Repai Manual, part #10330. It costs about $20 Canadian. It is worth it's weight in gold for a new diesel owner and has an excellent diagnosis and repair section that can walk you through most problems. Another place to check with would be The Diesel Page. It's a web site/blog/forum dedicated to GM 6.2 and 6.5 diesels.
I would be more inclined to suspect the fuel pump as your problem, myself. If you can't get the Haynes book in Australia comment back and we may be able to get 1 shipped out to you.
Hope this helps.

I want to add TURBO to my 1996 Golf III Diesel, and need to know what to change/add. Thanks.

well i have never done it myself. but its going to be alot of hassle.
its not the same as sticking a turbo on a petrol

1 you need a manifold which will suit it
2 for best results you need an exhaust to match
3 you will need to replace the fuel pump. to match the size of your engine (preffrably take the turbo and the fuelpump from the turbo version.
4just as well stick a new timing belt on while the fuel pump is off
then you need to tap into the oil as turbos need a constant oil feed. and that might require drilling and tapping into the block.

this is only an educated guess but im sure its pretty standard in fitting a turbo to a non turbo viehical.

your not giving me much information ;like has the car been serviced lately?as you do not provide this information im going to give you five possable causes;1 fuel filter chocked [replace]2 faulty injector.3timing belt incorrectly fitted.4 fuel pump faulty or delivery pressure low.5 injection pump timing incorrect. The only other thing im going to suggest is, before you try any of the above buy a can of diesel fuel cleaner and run it through your fuel system you might be surprised.hope this will help you.adrian

Alternater Leaking Brake Fluid

i'm not sure if it is brake fluid or engine oil but i used to rebuilt alternators and the izusus have the engine oil pump integrated with the alternator, so all what you have to do is get another alternator from auto parts or find a place and have them rebuilt your alternator, im sure you will find a good place in the yelllow pages. they have a o-ring inside that when it gets damage it will start leaking engine oil, or brake fluid like you say, but definitive there is a pump behind the altenator and the seal must to be replaced
