Question about 2007 Volvo V40
03 v40 i am currently working on probably had this problem. owner turned up with no lights after something had smashed the lefthand headlamp and a haynes manual to o4. wiring diagram is nothing like i am finding on the car. somebody had linked the left and right headlamps with scotchlocks and cable. made it work for a time but now it has packed up totally. all my tests so far indicate a faulty central control module that i am going to ask my local volvo about tomorrow. i suspect the resulting voltage surge not only blew 6 bulbs but the headlamp portion of this stupid multipurpose electronic box of tricks that is probably also overpriced. box is located behing trim adjacent to drivers right knee and is white with 4 multiway plugs....
seems a ridiculous design from a company famed for avoiding chewing gum and string sophistication.
