03 v40 i am currently working on probably had this problem. owner turned up with no lights after something had smashed the lefthand headlamp and a haynes manual to o4. wiring diagram is nothing like i am finding on the car. somebody had linked the left and right headlamps with scotchlocks and cable. made it work for a time but now it has packed up totally. all my tests so far indicate a faulty central control module that i am going to ask my local volvo about tomorrow. i suspect the resulting voltage surge not only blew 6 bulbs but the headlamp portion of this stupid multipurpose electronic box of tricks that is probably also overpriced. box is located behing trim adjacent to drivers right knee and is white with 4 multiway plugs....
seems a ridiculous design from a company famed for avoiding chewing gum and string sophistication.

Low beam doesn't work

A dealership said there is no fuse for the headlights????? Every item will be fused at some level. It looks like the headlights are fused separately left and right. If you have replaced the bulb its likely to be a fuse. If you have a voltmeter or test lamp check for 12V at the lamp connector.

I have a 2008 Ford Fusion and the passenger side head lamp will not come on. The fog lights and driver side head lamp works but the passenger side will not work on bright or on dim, what could this be?

Hi. Since the headlight on the driver side is working then we dont have any problem with the fuse or relay. Check the wiring and the socket of the passenger headlight if it is intact to the bulb. If it is intact, then this could be a headlight problem. Time to replace the passenger headlight.

2004 yaris how do you change headlight bulb passenger side as there is no room for your hands to get in

to change passenger side headlight bulb,on 04 plate yaris, remove bulb cover at rear of lamp, take off fuse box, although this only gives you slightly more room, and have someone with small hands, replace bulb,as it is nearly impossible if you have large hands. It is awkward but can be done,EVENTUALLY.

1999 malibu passenger side low beam headlight doesnt work. I replaced the bulb and it didnt work. i tried the drivers bulb (which works) on the passenger side and it still doesnt work. also, the daytime...

as for the headlight, did you check the fuse. on some vehicles there is a fuse for the left and right headlight! the fuse should be in the underhood fuse and relay box.
