Question about 2000 Ford Mustang

1 Answer

A/c not working right

Air conditioning just blowing hot air. one service place said maybe the main multi function relay was bad but said ford doesn't make anymore. it was checked and doesn't need freon. mechinic said if entire multi function relay was not replaced, car would end up on side of road as it would ultimately affect fuel pump and a lot of other things, is entire relay recommended as replacement?

I have a Ford F-250, the air conditioning works for about 15 minutes when you turn it on and then it cuts out and blows out warm air. Is this a relay problem?

Yes,

The cooling fan for the condensor or radiator is not coming on. The system is getting to hot because of this and building pressure. Then cuts off.

I would have the a.c system check for leaks and recharged. Then check the cooling fan and relay.

Very common problem.

My air conditioning blows hot air. Won't accept

Is the system low on Freon? If not, you most likely have a bad A/C compressor, or a bad low pressure switch.

A/c blows cold parked then blows hot after a few miles

engine fan not kicking in at right interval to bring air in so its pulling in hot air threw ducts
or you have a disconnected duct blowing all air out not to right place

guages could be faulty or bad a/c relay
