I have a auto repair shop and a customer has the same problem my genisys code scanner pull a radio communication code U0199 which is lost communication with door control module A. I will further diagnose this system and post later hope some of this will help you with yours
I talked to a speaker guy who said the speaker coil goes out on them.I was having the same problem with mine and I purchased a set(2)of Kenwood speakers modelKFCX183C These speakers come with the brackets that fit OEM you just break off the plastic parts till they look like the factory frame .These were about $125.00 a pair,be careful breaking them apart not to take too much off when breaking the tabs of the frame. These sound as good or even better than the factory.OH! and I will go even further to give you poss(+) and neg(-) to wire these;.Driver door(tan+grey-)driver rear(brown+yellow-)pass front(lt green+dk green-)pass right(dk green+lt blue or possibly lt green-)They even come with the insulation but please read all instructions before doing any work.
Speakers should measure 4 ohms. these are very cheap made in Mexico parts. I got a pair of door speakers with mounts and an auto stereo shop for $70 and installed them myself.
GM put very cheap speakers in this year model. Both of my front door speakers started gradually going on and off until they finally died. I replaced them with a set of Kenwood speakers from Crutchfield. They work great!
I throught I was the only person with this problem, glad to others in the same state Florida with the same problem. I have noticed that when making a hard turn speakers begin to work again only for a short time. Been thinking maybe its as easy as loose connections.
Started to think if there was any fuses that control speakers in these new trucks!
I have the same issue! The speakers are probably still good, because my speakers will randomly come back on, one here, one there, then it'll be gone the next speed bump or use of the door. I have thought it is more than likely a wiring connection inside the doors. My truck is a 2005 Silverado. I've had my dash apart to repair my speedometer and the wiring connections there seemed secure when attempting to make a speaker work or not work by manipulating the wires and connectors.
I'm having the same problem, I have a 2008 1500 wt and both door speakers come on some times an then go off. I took one speaker out of the door to verify the speakers were made in Mexico and It wasn't the wiring its the speaker. Cheap mexico labor manufacturer the speaker.
i also have the same problem in my 07 truck and in my wifes 08 tahoe.....wtf
07 Silverado same problam anyone found a fix yet?
2007 Silverado I have same problam anyone found a solution yet?
08 i have the same problam
Same problem. Seems to be temperature related as the speakers will come back after the radio has been on for about 30 minutes or when it is very hot outside.
I have been having the same speaker problems for about a year on my '07 Silverado. Also, my friend has an '08 Sierra and just started having the same issues. Has any one found a solution to the problem?

I have a 2008 truck - in the morning the only speakers working are in the front roof supports. In the afternoon after the vehicle has sat out in the sun then the speakers in the doors start working. This has only started happening a few weeks ago. I live in Florida and we've had a heavy morning dew. I starded thinking it might be moisture shorting out a connection. Has anyone considered this or have you found out what is causing the speakers to not work and then work.
when onstar is activated it works on the passenger side speakers
