Question about 1999 Nissan Maxima
I brought this car to Germany with me and found out that the Nissan dealers here cannot electronically diagnose this car - incompatibility with European and US models. I have engine hesitation while idleing and accelerating. The check engine light sometimes comes on upon passing acceleration. Pumping the gas pedal sometimes reduces the amount of hesitation. I have had the spark plugs and the 5th cylinder "distributor" replaced upon their recommendation but nothing has improved. Impossible to find a mechanis here who can diagnose it so I need some help from someone who has had similar problems. Could a gas drying additive or injector cleaner help? I thought it might be a fuel rather than electrinic problem since pumping the accelerator seems to improve the problem.
THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN TRY IT;
Fuel filter, fuel line, vicuum hose (leak or not) spark plugs cable and some related wires.
