My 1989 22re idle surges when warmed up and brake pedal applied. let off the brake it stops surging

Check the vacuum hose from the engine to the power brake vacuum reservoir, it make be loose or cracked and will cause an erratic idle because of the vacuum leak. Please rate this answer, thanks.

I have a 1994 Toyota pick up 4 cyl 22re engine and it revs up and down once warmed up. So once its warmed up if you step on the brakes it starts to stall or does stall. When I first got it It blew...

code 22 is for a faulty coolant temperature sensor. I suggest you change it. This sensor tells the truck's computer when the engine is fully warm. Without it, the computer is guessing at the fuel mix and it seems to be wandering around. Note: this sensor is different from the one that sends information to your coolant gauge. The gauge sender has only one wire coming out. The engine coolant temp sensor has two wires.

I would also have the brake booster tested for a vacuum leak. The engine stalling when the brake is depressed sounds like it is getting too much air and leaning out. If the brake booster is leaking and won't hold a vacuum, the extra air getting into the fuel mixture could also cause rpm fluctuations like you describe.

1994 toyota pickup v6 overheating

Make sure your cooling fan is working properly. Start it up and let it idle. When the temp goes up on gauge make sure it kicks in. If it does then you should try changing your thermostat. I may be stuck in a closed position or not opening enough to let the right amount of coolant to pass though to cool your engine.

I own a late edition touring 1994 BMW 320i saloon, six cylinder inline engine. problems I have been recently experiencing engine stalling problems, engine tends to work erratically by revving on its own,...

Seems you have a few problems, the irradic idle might be do to a bad idle air control valve/MAF, hard start issue i would need more info to help you better.

How do I properly adjust the idle on my 1994 4 Cylinder 2 wheel drive Toyota Truck? What is the proper way to do this?

If you are having problems with speed fluctuation, etc you need to
find and repair leaks before setting idle.

I have a 1994 toyota truck with a 22re engine, and the problem is a fluctuating idle with the a/c on or off.

I would suggest idling your high idle speed up a quarter turn while air conditioner is on full .

1994 Toyota pickup front brakes don't release

Well I don't think you'll need to buy parts,it sounds like there may be sludge built up between the master cylinder and the proportional valve to the front brakes.Pull the valve off(follow the line off the master cylinder and you'll find the valve)clean it and then flush/bleed the master cylinder before you reinstall,Then flush/bleed the rest of the system. There's a relly good chance that may be all you need to do,but you may need to pull the calipers and clean them also.Comment back if you need more help,Good Luck(To)Yotaguy
