Question about 2000 Nissan Quest

2000 quest van with 180k miles - tires shake like they are out of balance. I had the rims checked to see if bent or out of round. Rims were good and tires have very little wear. vibration is so bad at 70mph that all the seats shake. HELP!

We had same problem and it was the tire on driver's side front. The steel belts had seperated and the tire was sunk in the middle. eplaced the tire and it drives fine. Tires were less than tewo years old and still had great tread.

Shaking wet drivind 2004 expedition

Shaking when driving.
Have the tire balance checked and tell them that it shakes.
Ask them to make sure the rims aren't bent.
This is the most common cause of shake.
Beyond this, it could be tie rod ends, control arm bushings, or steering rack going bad.
My mustang has a combo of bent rim and steering rack.
The balance is your first solution and the cheapest.

When driving my car the steering wheel shakes

If the steering wheel starts to shake between 55-65 MPH then you need to balance the wheels. If it shakes when you press the brakes, your brake rotors are warped and need to be cut or replaced. If the steering wheel shakes at low speeds then it's possible one of your rims is bent or one of your tires is out of round. Leaving a car parked for a long time in snowy and icy roads will damage your tires, causing them to warp. Depending on which situation is causing your steering wheel to shake, have it looked at.

Extreme wobble in the front end at speeds over 60 kph. Have change tie-rods and stabilizer shock, but problem persists.

Check that the front tires are not out of round by putting on a spin balancer and observing for 1/4" or more of wobble in the tires, or a bent rim.

Front end shakes Usually at about 35-40 mph then goes away

If you can drive through the shaking to a higher speed most likely there is a problem with your tires or rims.. possibly out of balance or a belt is separated in one of the tires.. have your tires checked for balance and while they are being checked have the tire shop look at your rims to make sure they are no bent...

When jeep gets between 50 and 55 wheel starts shaking . I get up to 60 and it stops. Had new tires put on 2,000 miles ago.

Check if rims are complete round w/o any damage, check if the wheel bearing is OK, then remove wheels on rear axle and check if the backside of the rims are clean, no rust etc.. clean up the the wheel hub, so the rim sits total close to it. Tighten the wheel nuts with 140 to 150 N/m. If your car start shaking again, try to get the wheels balanced.

04 Nissan Quest Shaking while driving

Put on the spare tire and see if that helps. If it does, go to the tire store and use your hazard coverage for them to check your rim for being bent or your tire from having a bruised belt. The rim is your responsibility, the tire is the tire stores. An 04 should have spare rims in Salvage yards. You can go online for those if need be.

Front End Shake

The most common problem I see with this complaint is a bent rim or rims. So regardless if you balance the tires and rotate them, you will still have a vibration. I assume you have more than one bent rim because it still shakes even after rotation. You will have far more vibration if a bent rim is on the front. That is why people usually rotate a bent rim to the back.
