I changed the battery and now there is just a clicking noise. It wont turn over but all of the lights and interior lights work.

The clicking noise is probably the starter solenoid engaging the starter into the flywheel, but the starter motor is not receiving enough juice to turn the engine. I had a similar problem on my 96 Seville, thought the starter motor was the problem. Turned out to be corrosion on the positive cable (red) that you could not see under the rubber covering on the cable where the two wires on the positive cable are connected together at the battery. It will allow enough juice through to operate your car interior lights but not the high amount required to turn the starter motor.

Also, I would have your battery checked again to be certain it is good. If it is checked with a handheld device at the auto supply stores it may not give an accurate reading. It needs to be checked on a larger battery checker (Advance Auto Supply has them) that puts a load on it for about 15 minutes to be certain. A bad battery can cause your problem.

What can this issue be? Pls I charged the battery for over two hours and it still won't start even if I have jumpers attached?

Gary, Do you mean car will not start, or do you mean it will not turn over. If it does not turn over, even with boost, battery cables bad, starter relay or fuse bad, or starter defective.

Hi all,I have a Ford focus 2004 tdci 1.8 and the immobiliser intermittently won't turn off,I've tried both keys and its still won't start.kind regards Dean

Ford products are sensitive to changes in Battery voltage. The system views low Voltage as an attempted theft and makes the Alarm go off.

Remove the Battery, return it with a full charge or new Battery. Some other symptoms would be slow cranking or clicking like a dead battery. The Antitheft reduces starter Voltage to around 7 Volts making starting nearly impossible.

Please rate my info. If all else fails, the Identity in the car memory may no longer match the identity on the car keys. You would need to have a Dealer rematch the keys to the car.

98 honda crv wil start if jump started and then later won't start

Your battery is not fully charged and may not be accepting a full charge. Remove your battery and put it on a charger overnight. Take the battery to a parts store and have them hook it up. They will then be able to tell if it is taking a full charge or not. If this is a new battery it will take a full charge but it is still getting drained by something such as a radio not shutting off automatically, if you have that option.

it sounds like your alternator is bad. take your car to any auto-zone and they will bench test it for free.they will also test your battery. a car battery can run your car for a couple of days depending on how far and and how many time you start it,what electrical load you put on it.hope this helps.

1999 Dodge Durango LTS I had the battery charged when I installed it the battery gauge is not going all the way to 14. Car turns over but won't start.

First if the engine turns over but will not start then i woould check for spark at any of the sparkplugs and if you have spark then check your fuel pressure. If you don't have spark then you have an ignition problem.

sounds like your battery is just low,, it doesn't have the amps to actually turn the car over fully, you have 2 options, get the battery charged, or try to get someone to help you with a jump start,, either way , once you get it started, take the battery and have someone do a LOAD test on it,, to be sure all the cells are taking a full charge

How can i charge the battery for the equinox 2007 , can i just do it regularly like with the cables and another car??

The cables are just for jump starting, you won`t be able to get a full charge that way.You will need to connect a battery charger to do it properly. If you don`t have a battery charger auto zone will charge it and test it for free if you remove it and take it to them.

I would check ignition items or fuel delivery if it just died on you. It wont be the battery unless it was dead and the alternator stop working.
