Question about 2000 Chevrolet Venture
I have a 200 chev venture. lately, espesially after it rains, my signal lights fail to work or only my 4 ways come on. I have checked and replaced fuses.i had to replace the T/SIG fuse from a 10 to a 15 amp fuse. that seamed to have fixed that problem. Now I had to remove the fuse for the ELC/TRAILER or my parking lights would stay on. I have checked the wiring harness for shorts and for any possible way water may get into the conection joints. I have not found any as of yet!
I have wired a trailer light harness directly to my rear lights. it does have a 5 into 4 relay on it.
I have always had problems with this harness, many trailers i have towed the lights dont seam to want to work as they should! I have had it to my mechanic and every time its there they work, unfortunatly when they dont i have taken it over and by the time i get there they are working again.
A frined of mine had a 2001 but his had a plug in conection for a wiring harness built in behind the air commpresser unit in the rear side wall.mine does not have that!
I hope you are able to decifer the problem/s I am having with the electrical system and are able to help me out to fix the prblem/s
Thank You in Advance
Hi, the best way to solve this problem is installing a conector that comes allready made for your ventue ,it conects under the rear of your van an , you can buy it at auto zone ,checkers pep boys ,wallmart sells some of them too ,it goes at the original conections ,(no cutting or splicing)...I hope this help.....
