What you need to do is to disconnect the positive side of the battery. This will kill the power supply to the electronic fans until AAA can get to you.
I had the same problem and it will eventually run the battery down. It is easier to disconnect the power to the fan than the battery post. The fan connector (wire bundle) is just above the fan just aft of the hood lack. It isn't hard to find. There are two very large wires one is red and white wire. Simply release the connector lock by pressing down on the lock and pulling the connectors apart.
Being able to disconnect the fan will allow you to park your car without having the battery drained. Just remember to connect the fan when you are driving the car otherwise you might overheat the engine, especially in stop and go traffic. I did this until I had the time and money to replace the fan assembly.
Basically, there are four things (ECT senor, A/C pressure sensor, ECM, or fan controller) that can wrong and cause this problem, but most likely it is the fan controller itself, which cannot be bought separately. You must purchase the full fan assembly.
The dealers will want over $400 just for the fan assembly, however I have found it as low as $220 on the web. Be careful when you order one to make sure it has the controller attached, as I had found some that didn’t have the controller.
