Make sure the axle is in all the way. The axle will snap in place when it's in all the way. Did you loose any fluid when you removed the old axle? There's a chance that you don't have enough trans. fluid. This will cause the same thing.

Ginding noise right front side?

the CV joint of the axle most likely at the hub end of axle.contained inside of a rubber boot full of grease.you cant see the actual joint but by graspping the axle and asserting force up/down,left/right you should be able to tell if the joint has "ruptured" or seperated. best fix is ALWAYS a new axle.repairing a boot or joint = $$parts,$$$$labor?
/new axle=$$parts,$labor plus most new after-market axles carry a lifetime warranty and its only a matter of time until the boots dry rot loose grease and go bad.next time only cost labor to switch axle.A "slipping" axle will give a loss of propellsion will actually prevent the transfer of driveline power from transmission to wheels.

2000 Ford Escort, engine runs fine but the car will not drive

It really sounds like one of the cv joints has failed. Even though boots are intact joint could be broke inside-just double check.

After making a left hand turn and then straightening the wheel the transmission just disengaged from reverse, drive, overdrive, 2, or 1. There was'nt any noise or clunkiness before transmission gave...

to me it sounds like a trans differential shaft and pin i could be wrong but as a mechanic its hard to say without being there with trans issues but thats were i would look it its not that then its a shift linkage issue check that too

if it helps could you please leave positive feedback thanks

How do u get the drive axle thats broke into two ?

I'm not sure of your question but I think you want to know how do you replace to drive axle also known as the CV joint. To replace the CV joint jack up the side that broke and remove the wheel. Then remove the center nut that holds the CV joint to the hub. Put the car in gear or park so the hub will not turn why you do this or have someone put on the brake why you're doing this. Then remove the lower ball joint. Now pull the hub outward as you push the CV joint in. You may have to do some prying. Now using a pry bar snapped the other side of the CV joint out of the transmission. Reverse this to install new one. Good luck.

Noise when driving starts from 30 mph.. when turn wheel to left on the interstate, the noise becomes louder. Change left axle the noice didn't go away... also leaks around the axles, and from power...

sounds like powersteering pump. put it in park and open hood. have someone stand in front of engine near powersteering pump and put hand on it to feel vibration. MAKE SURE CAR IS IN PARK. Rev engine to about 2200 Rpm's and see if I am correct. Thanks and Good luck

What is it???

on the bottom left side of the transmission there is a drain plug refer to the haynes manual for exact location. Drain the transmission fluid with a screen. If you see flakes of metal falling on the screen sorry but the transmission is far gone if not try changing the fluid using only whats recomended for that application if that dosent work you will need to buy a used transmission it cost more to rebuild one than its worth .
